Founder’s Story – Ryoko Murashige

CookinGlobe was founded by Ryoko Murashige, who has long believed that food is one of the most essential — and joyful — ways to understand a country.
A passionate traveler, she always visits local supermarkets wherever she goes — whether in Japan or abroad — bringing home regional ingredients and recreating local dishes in her own kitchen. That joy of discovery inspired the creation of CookinGlobe.

Before starting CookinGlobe, Ryoko spent many years balancing a demanding business career while raising two sons.
In the middle of a busy life, she valued making meals that were simple, typical, and delicious — meals that reflected the heart of everyday Japanese home cooking.
Cooking became her way of nurturing both family and curiosity — blending Japanese home-style dishes with global influences gathered through travel.

She believes that the harmony of umami, fermentation, and the balance of Japanese seasonings cultivate not only taste, but also appreciation for life itself.
Through CookinGlobe, she hopes to share that same warmth and discovery with visitors to Japan — helping them experience the beauty of Japanese flavors and the comfort of a shared meal.
